“O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!” (Romans 11:33)

Welcome to the Youth Group Website
I would like to welcome all of you to the new website that has been created for the Egg Harbor City Moravian Church Youth Group. By using newer technologies, like this website, we as the youth group leaders are hoping to bridge the gap between us "old people" and the teens that make up the group. With all of your help we are hoping to make this the best youth group this congregation has ever seen!
Through this website you will be able to connected to the youth group through news stories, events calendar, messageboard, and e-mails. All youth and parents must first Register before they can access the private members area.
Over the weekend of April 25-27, four of the kids from the Confirmation class went to Cape Hope for the 2008 Confirmation Retreat. Reverend Weaknecht was unable to attend due to a wedding ceremony, so Lori Rohr and Bill Ade went in his place. The campers learned about the history of the Moravians through many fun and informative group excercises. The retreat was lead by Rev. Chris Giesler and Marie Couts.
The youth really learned alot about the church and who they are as Moravians; however, if you ask any of them they will say the car ride was the best part of the trip. On the way home we made several stops including one at the famous Hot Dog Johnny's . Please check out all the pictures in the Media Gallery .
Over the weekend the senior high kids went to away to Camp Hope for a winter retreat. The retreat was organized by Reverend Chris Giesler. The weekend’s theme was “Life’s Storms.” The campers learned how to identify the storms we all go through, and some ways to deal them. There was also a theme song for the weekend, “Hold on Tight” by Electric Light Orchestra. The campers shared in Christian fellowship through words and song.
During some free time the kids were able to explore the snow covered camp. The campers also played ping pong, foosball, and card games. If it wasn’t for all the large hills we had to climb we would have probably gained a few pounds from the outstanding food the kitchen staff provided. The group had a great time.
